VAT Tax Recuperation 

As a company based outside of the European Union, you have the possibility of recuperating the VAT taxes spent relating to your business while in Spain. According to Spanish law, a local representative is required in order to claim the VAT refund. This representative jointly assumes responsibility for the taxes recuperated.

Who can benefit from this tax law?

Since September 2015, all countries can reclaim VAT taxes for attendance at congresses, fairs and events, as well as any tooling manufactured and/or delivered in Spain. In addition, if you or your client are coming from one of the countries with an original reciprocity agreement (Switzerland, Norway, Monaco, Israel, Canada and South Korea), you can also reclaim VAT taxes on additional services. 

How does it work? 

Both before and after the meeting or event, we work with you to assess your particular situation to see which taxes are refundable and which are not, to collect all required documents and invoices and to ensure it is being submitted on your behalf correctly. Once everything is approved, you will receive the refund directly in your bank account.
